Filling the mold
Apply clay to the mold and scrape off excess with a clay scraper so that all recesses and low areas are completely filled before scraping. When using Finishing Touch Silicone Molds, no release agent is needed, we do not even recommend this.
To dry
Do not remove the clay from the mold until it is completely dry. Allow to dry overnight, or speed up the process by drying in a household oven at 100°C or in a dehydrator set at 165°F / 74°C for 5-7 minutes. These molds are heat resistant up to 300°F/149°C. When everything is completely dry, turn the mold upside down and bend the mold to carefully remove the last details.
Apply / confirm
Attach the details to themselves or to other metal clay assemblies using distilled water. Slightly moisten the parts to be joined and press gently together until a joint is formed. Use paste where necessary to make a strong connection, if necessary dilute it first.
Firing
Burn according to the recommended firing schedule and instructions on the silver or metal clay manufacturer's packaging.
Finish after firing
Small elements can be fragile depending on design or construction. Delicate designs should be lightly brushed with a brass or wire brush and then hand polished with a buffing pad, paper or cloth. It can be put in the polishing drum.
