Use the casting investment powder as a dummy when setting heat-sensitive stones. The investment is baked in and ensures that the space cannot shrink because it is amply filled. This leaves sufficient space to glue the stone in place after firing, for example with 2-component glue.
The powder goes into the mixing cup. Measure the water using the syringe. Place the water in the mixing bowl and stir with the wooden spatula for at least 2 minutes, creating a thick, homogeneous emulsion.
Fill the area of the stone with sufficient investment (fill with a bump on top) and let it dry for at least 90 minutes before firing the clay.
Note: Do not inhale the powder. Use a face mask, extractor or mix it outside. Also when sanding or filing. It contains silica to make it heat resistant.
Do not rinse residues down the sink, but let them dry and then throw them away.
