With this large arc template it is possible to design a ring with a different band.
Use the template to draw a ring on paper, it can be convex or concave according to design and then cut it out so you have a paper template. Use olive oil on the paper to saturate it. this helps prevent your paper from absorbing moisture and sticking. Using a needle tool, cut around your paper template and carefully remove the paper template.
Use a long thin needle or needle tool to beautifully "cut" silver clay and metal clay. or use the stencil to emboss it into the clay. The template can also be used as a simple drawing template in many other creative applications.
