Fine silver tape wire for making bezels of pure fine silver in silver clay. 50cm long; 6mm wide; 0.2mm thick.
The tape is flat over the entire length, has no special groove for faceted stones, but is mainly used for setting natural stones, cabochons.
Make sure that your silver has been rolled out sufficiently thick so that the tape does not protrude through the clay. Cut the tape 1 mm larger than the stone circumference and place the setting belt in the silver clay with a small opening of 1 mm between the ends. Do not insert the tape too deep into the clay otherwise the inside will shrink loose. Secure the tape with paste.
