Use the needle tool to pull through your clay. This will cut out the shape of your workpiece.
Work freehand or use a stencil to "cut out" the clay. You can make your own template by cutting out your design and greasing it with oil. Cut around the paper with the needle. or use one of our jewelry templates.
Keep the needle pin upright so that you do not create sloping sides.
